Video of the Maoshan Sets are frowned upon. For this reason, these videos are posted as attributes needed go through the more advance stages of Maoshan Tao training.

Dedication needed to endure the Maoshan Taoist program. Only 4 individuals have completed the “Maoshan Tao Sifu Program” since 1957. There are many warriors other than the 100th Battalion, 442 RCT who suffered much discrimination and excelled during modern times including the Red Tails and Harlem Hellfighters. It is this “spirit” who refuses defeat to overcome the odds against them which has made Maoshan Tao, the most feared and respected form of martial art since 300BC.

The 100th Battalion, 442 RCT  received the following commendations during their deployment in Europe(below).

“Local” Island humor often misunderstood by “Mainlanders”. However, when duty called local and mainland Nisei Japanese Americans bonded together to form the 100th Battalion 442nd Regimental Combat Team and U.S. Military Intelligence Service(MIS). [other Asian races also participated in the 100th 442nd even though predominantly Niseis were recruited]

The 100th Infantry Battalion was an all Nisei battalion that consisted of former members of the Hawaii Army National Guard. Upon its activation the 100th saw heavy combat during World War II before and after combining with the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, another all Nisei military unit, into a single all Nisei fighting combat team. The 100th today is the only remaining combat arms unit in the United States Army Reserve, the other units all being combat support or combat service support. Based at Fort Shafter, Honolulu, Hawaii, the 100th Battalion has reservists from Hawaii, American Samoa, Guam and Saipan, and has been activated and deployed to Iraq. Historically, the unit is referred to as the “Purple Heart Battalion”, with the motto “Remember Pearl Harbor”.

The 442nd Regimental Combat Team of the United States Army, was an all Japanese American unit. They fought primarily in Europe during World War II, beginning in 1944. The families of many of its soldiers were subject to internment. The 442nd was a self-sufficient fighting force, and fought with uncommon distinction in Italy, southern France, and Germany. The unit became the most highly decorated regiment in the history of the United States armed forces, including 21 Medal of Honor recipients. The motto of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team was “Go for Broke.”
